4 Common Things things that waste time

Whats getting done?

We all want to succeed at something, but what you willing give up, or cut back? A Lot could be done in a day, so my second question is; Whats getting done? How do you spend your day everyday. For me, my day normaly begins with me waking up watching reruns for bout to or three hours, play video games, which eat up bout two hours, then its time for an eight hour shift at work, and lastly I come home grab a bite to eat and sit back in front of the tv till I fall asleep(how sad). If you ever plan to succeed sacrifice must be made. Solely the choice is yours.

Then it hit me

I was watching TV and I had an epiphany. I realize that one of the man reason that I'm not getting anything done with myself is because I'm sitting around wasting time. Here are the most common activities people do that is a waste of time:

Social Media

People tend to spend hours on social media sites making comments and looking a pictures for hours and hours. On Face book your status updates should not be like every five minutes. Don't be that person that message people and comment on their pictures all day, its pathetic. Their is nothing wrong with spending maybe an hour on any social site.

Video Games

OK don't get me wrong, I like video games as mush as the next guy, but pace yourself, its not going anywhere. Some people complete a video game in a day and play it all over again, whats the point in that? You've already beaten the game their should'nt be a need to play it over unless their like some type of secret level or something.

Television

Whats the point in watching something that you already seen like a million times before? You know the twist, climax, bad guy, good guy, who done it, how they done it, who caught them, how the caught, etc. It does'nt change for every hundredth time you see it. Watching marathons of your favorite show kills like almost a half a day. Television would something to cut back on if your trying ot get something done.

Chasing Him/Her

Chasing after someone can kill a lot of time, energy and money. It the biggest waste, because most likely the fact that you chasing them so much they already lost interest in you. I always see guys at work who try and hook up with every female employee and customer that walks by. My opinion is that if you want women, then you need to focus on your goals, that'll attract more self- respecting women, instead of the ones who sleep with anybody.

Self-Control

I'm not saying that you should stop doing the activities listed above. Practice some self-control, try not to overindulge yourself. Give yourself a time limit when your watching TV, playing video games, or chatting on any social sites. For those who are chasing guys and girls, just know that your giving yourself a bad name as well as wasting your time.

Time to take action

If we want change then we need to change, success does'nt fall in your lap. We all know somebody that we don't want to be, whether that person is at work in your family our everyday people that you see in your daily commute. At my job, I see people everyday who seem unhappy, wanting to quit, and angry. When I talk to them, they always perch to me how I need to focus, work hard and that I have a lot of potential. I realize that if I don't want to end up like them I need to change and I hope you will too.

These are definitely huge time wasters. When we got rid of cable and severely limited TV in this house I noticed that everything seemed to get done more efficiently :). I am guilty of spending a lot of time on Pinterest (but the stuff people pin is just so cool!) but I may have to ground myself from Pinterest soon lol. I have limited Facebook and Twitter to once per day for a few minutes and I don't play games on there etc. VERY helpful in allowing me to keep up with being a mom, student, and full time freelancer.

Great hub - everyone can use these reminders!
