Looking good in your favorite pair of jeans and boosting your confidence is not the only benefits of having a nice round, strong, tight butt. The buttock is one the largest muscle in the human body, so having a strong tight butt is good for your overall health for men and women.

Improves posture

The butt muscles (medius, minimus, and maximus) create a base for the pelvic girdle, minimizing the effort to walk as well as reduce lower back pain. The butt muscles are responsible for keeping you upright and propelling you forward. Having strong butt muscles gives you a good stride and gait.

Health benefits

  • Burns fats
  • Burns calories
  • Improves posture
  • Decrease risk of injury
  • Protect against diseases
  • Helps women with childbirth

Reduce injury

Noted by chiropractors and author Dr. Peppy that the muscles work together for support; meaning that if the glutes are weak or inflexible from a sedentary lifestyle (sitting on your butt all day at desk job), other muscles may fail to do their increasing the chance of injury. Injuries such as shin splits, sore backs, or knee injury.

Visual reasons to get a strong butt

  • Help men develop a nice V-shape figure
  • Help women develop a nice hourglass figure

Burn the most calories

As stated earlier the butt is the largest muscle, so when toned, it can burn the most calories and fat. The butt also burn calories and fat in your sleep.

Less fatigue

Since the buttock muscles support your body during any activity, you may suffer from fatigue and muscle burn faster if you have weak butt muscles. In fact with strong butt muscles you would have more endurance in any physical activity.

Fights aging on the body

If you don’t take care of your butt now it will haunt you later. Your will butt will begin to droop lower and lower until you don’t know what you looking at (or what you are sitting on). Having a strong butt will you look and feel younger and full of energy.

Get your butt into shape

You see the benefits of a stronger butt, that doesn’t mean that you go out and get some butt injections or some other crazy way to make your butt bigger and think you’re going to benefit from having a strong butt (I said stronger not bigger). To get a stronger butt you’re going to need the proper diet and to get off your butt and get active.

Diet

You want to build muscle for a healthy butt, so it would be best to cut down on the fat (unhealthy fat that is) and consume more protein. Don’t forget your fruits and vegetables as well as complex carbs (sweet potatoes, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, or pasta). It is also important to eat every two to three hours a day.

Getting active

When people think of getting into shape they get bummed out, because they think about some long term exercise routine. That is not the case at all; you can do other physical activities that don’t come with a daily routine. For example, you could go dancing; it is a great way to spend countless hours burning calories without even knowing it (that is if you’re not one of those people who hold up the wall all day). You could simply go for a walk or a jog in the morning and again in the even to get your butt in shape.

It’s important to have a proper diet and an active lifestyle for a healthy butt. Remember this; a big butt is not always a healthy butt.
